As co-curators of this exhibition we have selected from the Museum vault rarely shown works by woman in the collection. We believe it is time to celebrate these woman artists, who share a maverick desire to express their personal visions in Taos. It is time to look at the work these artists through the lens of the ” Silence Breakers” era. It is time to recognize that woman in Taos have been speaking their truths for decades-in paint, on film, in fiber, glass and stone.
